Purpose of the Confederation
Eight statutory missions underpin the confederation's work.

Represent members before the public authorities, CONECT and employers' and trade union organisations.

Negotiate and sign sector-wide collective agreements.

Promote national and international vocational training: workshops, examination panels, work placements and employment support.

Build the professional artistic team that represents the sector internationally.

Negotiate preferential commercial terms with professional brands.

Organise events, conferences, national and international competitions, workshops and master classes.

Promote Tunisian expertise and form the official delegation representing Tunisia.
Members and admission
The confederation is made up of three categories of member.
Active members
Practising professionals holding a trade licence and a commercial register entry.
Honorary members
Individuals who have rendered distinguished service to the profession, by nomination.
Junior members
Vocational school students and young talents in the sector.
Admission
Admission is granted on application — national ID card, personal or salon trade licence, salon address, telephone, email and membership fee — and is decided by the Executive Committee. Membership may be withdrawn for non-payment or serious misconduct.
The governing bodies
Three bodies share the governance of the confederation.
General Assembly
Sovereign body
Made up of delegates from the regions. It votes on strategy, membership fees and all major decisions.
Board of Directors
11 members elected for 3 years
At least one member per governorate, to guarantee balanced national representation.
Executive Committee
5 members
President, Secretary General, Treasurer, Training Officer and one further member. It decides on admissions.
Presidencies — Sector, regional and national presidencies require a minimum of five years' professional experience.
Resources
- Annual membership fees, the amounts of which are set by the General Assembly.
- Donations and bequests.
- Partnerships with professional brands in the sector.
Dissolution
Dissolution requires a two-thirds majority at an extraordinary General Assembly. The assets are then transferred to a charitable cause within the sector.
